If you've read the Off Campus series, you'll recognize a few faces in The Chase. Also I'm a sucker for men with tattoos 🙃. It gives Fitz's character so much more depth along with the fact that he is so kind and passionate towards Summer when he learns to share his feelings 🥺. I love how Elle Kennedy made him an athlete but also a nerdy gamer and designer because its finally a change from the cliché teenage ego filled jock whose entire personality is sport or football. Elle Kennedy's writing of the character sets her apart from other clichés as we learn about Summer's inner conflict with herself and her insecurities. What makes her different to other popular outgoing college girls in romance books is that she has ADHD and throughout the novel we learn her daily struggles in life that gives her character more life and connection to readers. Let's just say that Summer's entire persona when she's babbling about clothes and designers is my hearts best friend.

I personally have a passion for fashion and when I'm off in college I'll be studying for a Bachelor's in fashion and sustainability. I absolutely love Summer is that she's majoring in fashion. The Chase is also written in dual POV's with both Colin Fitzgerald and Summer Di Laurentis - another reason to read this book! Elle's character portrayal is top tier and makes readers fall in love with these college students as they navigate a world of drama, romance and finding oneself. This book was such a bubbly and light read which I devoured in a day. First of all, I love Summer's personality and inner dialogue.
